Google Glass is about to get a whole lot more stylish. The California search giant has partnered up with famous designer Diane von Furstenberg for its DVF | Made for Glass collection, which will provide Glass shoppers with new frame and shade options starting June 23.
According to Google's official Google+ post, the collection will be available exclusively at fashion retailer Net-A-Porter, as well as the Glass website. DVF | Made for Glass will include five new frames and eight new shades, including a rich blue-and-purple sunglass shade and a more traditional red frame with clear lenses.
"[Glass] offers a new, unique way of interacting with technology without distracting from your life," said Google's Isabelle Olsson in an interview on DVF's website. "And it’s about being able to express your personal style at the same time. Diane really understood each of these goals and brought that vision to life."
This isn't Google's first attempt to inject designer style into Glass, as the company's Titanium Collection provides four sleek frame styles for the wearable.
We gave Google Glass 3 out of 5 stars in its review, praising its attractive design and reliable voice controls. However, with poor battery life and low camera quality, we feel the wearable has plenty of room to improve. You can currently get on the wait list for your own Explorer model on Glass' website, assuming you have an extra $1,500.
