January can be a slow month for smartphone deals, but Metro by T-Mobile is spicing things up with a killer deal on one of Samsung's latest phones.
For a limited time, Metro By T-Mobile is offering the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G for free. You'll need to bring your number to Metro and sign up for Metro's $60/month unlimited plan to get this deal, but it's the best deal I've seen on Samsung's new phone.
Bring your number to Metro by T-Mobile and sign up for the carrier's $50/month unlimited data plan (with auto-pay) and you'll get the Galaxy A17 5G for free. The phone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display (2340 x 1080), Exynos 1330 CPU, 128GB of storage, and a 13MP front camera. On the rear you'll find a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide camera, and 2MP macro camera. Additionally, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy A17 5G is one of Samsung's budget phones. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display (2340 x 1080), Exynos 1330 CPU, 128GB of storage, and a 13MP front camera. On the back you'll find a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide camera, and 2MP macro camera. There's even a microSD slot to expand its storage to up to 2TB. When it comes to battery life, the phone packs a 5,000mAh battery.
We also like that Samsung generously gives the Galaxy A17 5G six years of major Android and security updates. That's worth noting because phones in this price range rarely get more than three years.
Metro by T-Mobile is part of T-Mobile's portfolio of brands. We're fans of the service due to its budget-friendly plans. To get this deal, you'll need to port your number and sign up for one of Metro's $60/month unlimited data plans (with auto pay).
