Now that Motorola’s teased its upcoming April 29th event, it’s only a matter of time before we know more about its new Razr foldables. While the short video Moto shared is pretty telling, the company also appears to be clearing its stock of old inventory.
It’s your last chance to get the Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 for just $799 at Motorola, which I think is hard to pass up. That's $700 off its normal $1,499.99 price. What seals the deal for me is that this is an unlocked model that can be activated immediately on any wireless carrier — plus, you’re getting a free upgrade to the top-of-the-line 1TB storage option. And you'll get a free premium case with ring stand ($69 value).
The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is a premium foldable phone that packs a massive 7-inch display with an equally sizable 4-inch outer screen, all in a design that's 0.28-inches at its thinnest point. For something that svelte, it's also impressive that it's the longest lasting foldable phone that Tom's Guide has tested.
New phone releases always excite me, but I’m often torn when an older model gets a significant discount. That’s exactly the predicament with this Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 deal — one I can’t overlook because of how much it impressed me during my review. Sure, it’s been almost a year since it launched, but it remains one of the best foldable phones on the market.
As a reminder, the 512GB base model launched at a whopping $1,299, while the 1TB version fetched $1,499. This offer applies a $700 instant discount, bringing the price down to $799 — nearly the same as the standard Razr 2025's usual $700 retail cost. Having tested both, the difference is immediate: the Ultra offers superior camera performance, sturdier construction, and longer battery life.
The inclusion of 1TB of storage is a massive win, especially considering most flagships, like the iPhone 17 Pro, still start at 256GB. This means you can shoot significantly more 4K video without worrying about maxing out local storage and, consequently, slowing down system performance.
Speaking of performance, the Razr Ultra 2025 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which still manages to outperform rivals like the Galaxy Z Flip 7 by a decent margin. Beyond its speed, it features one of the brightest screens available with a peak output of 1,835 nits. Most importantly, it’s the longest-lasting foldable I’ve ever tested, averaging 15 hours and 42 minutes on Tom’s Guide’s battery drain test.
When I factor all of this into the deep clearance discount, it’s hard not to pull the trigger — even with the newer model on the horizon. My fear is that the successor might see a price hike, making the Razr Ultra 2025 an even smarter buy right now.
