YouTube TV just added 2 new sports channels in time for the Winter Olympics

YouTube TV isn't just our pick for the best live TV streaming service overall; we also rate it particularly high for watching live sports. Features such as Multiview, combined with a wide range of sports channels, make it a great option. It recently even added a new sports channel — NBCSN — and now, it's adding two more ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Users in the YouTube TV subreddit are reporting that the cable TV alternative has quietly added NBCSN 2 and NBCSN 3, in addition to the main NBCSN channel. These are likely overflow channels and have already started airing some programs from NBCUniversal's stable of sports offerings, including NBA broadcasts. That seems to indicate that, while these additions are coming ahead of next month's Winter Olympics, they might be here to stay once the winter games are over.

While YouTube TV gets additional NBC channels, Fubo is still in the dark

Unfortunately, not everyone is receiving free gifts from NBC. While NBCSN is now back on YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV and other live TV services, one service is still out in the cold of the Winter Olympics. Fubo, which has been in a standoff with NBCUniversal for months, still doesn't have access to NBCSN or any NBCUniversal networks.

So if you're looking to watch the Winter Olympics this year, you might want to consider YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV or even Sling Blue in select markets. For now, it seems like Fubo won't be attending the opening ceremony.
