Spring is in full bloom, and with it comes a fresh crop of new movies and TV shows to watch this weekend on Netflix, HBO Max and more of the best streaming services.

The small screen is practically bursting at the seams: The final seasons of “The Boys” and "Hacks” begin by wreaking havoc in their own ways. After a long wait, “Euphoria” season 3 returns with its next (also possibly final) emotionally fraught chapter. Meanwhile, “The Testaments” revisits Gilead through a chilling new lens, and “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair” proves some family dysfunction never goes out of style.

Over in movie land, “Thrash” brings survival thrills with a pulse-pounding edge, perfect for shaking off any lingering winter sluggishness. Here's our guide on what to watch this weekend.

The vibes: “Sharknado,” is that you?

The plot: From writer/director Tommy Wirkola (“Violent Night”), this Netflix thriller drops a Category 5 hurricane on a coastal town — then adds sharks. Phoebe Dynevor plays a pregnant woman trapped in a flooding car, while Djimon Hounsou and Whitney Peak scramble to survive rising floodwaters and roaming predators. It’s a bit of “Jaws,” a lot of Netflix’s “Under Paris.” It’s big, dumb and almost certain to be a streaming hit.
