The big Prime Video release this week might well have been the streaming service's new pirate movie, "The Bluff," but that doesn't mean Amazon's streamer doesn't have any recent additions that are worth binge-watching over the weekend.
If you're on the hunt for some Prime Video streaming recommendations, I've scrolled through everything that's new on Prime Video in February (and looked ahead at what's coming to Prime Video in March) and put together a list of new and noteworthy picks that you may well want on your weekend watchlist. You can find a little more info about these three new to Prime Video shows below.
'56 Days'
"56 Days" is an eight-episode miniseries Prime Video pitches as "a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller." Based on a best-selling novel by Catherine Ryan Howard, it landed in mid Feb. 18, and quickly became one of the streamer's most popular watches.
The series revolves around Oliver Kennedy (Avan Jogia) and Ciara Wyse (Dove Cameron), who form a relationship after a chance encounter. 56 days after their first meeting, homicide investigators appear at Oliver's apartment to find an unidentified, brutally murdered, and intentionally decomposed body, prompting some huge questions: Did Oliver kill Ciara? Did she kill him? What really happened there? "56 Days" reveals those answers by cutting between an intense single day in the investigation and the twisted trajectory of the lovers' past affair, delivering an "extremely bingeable" series, per TG's "56 Days" review

'Cross'
If one crime series is not enough to satisfy, "Cross" has remained a popular thriller as the series has continued dropping new episodes throughout February; TG's own Malcolm McMillan said the show was "even more twisty and brutal than ever" in his "Cross" season 2 review.
If you're yet to check the show out, "Cross" is a crime thriller based on James Patterson's Alex Cross novels, and sees Aldis Hodge stepping into the titular role of forensic psychologist and detective. Season 2 (which will conclude in just a couple of weeks) sees Cross pursuing a ruthless vigilante who is hunting down corrupt billionaire business magnates, and if you're looking to be drawn into another dark case, this could be the show for you.

'The Gray House'
Here's a historical drama that I feel like I've genuinely heard nothing about, which is surprising, given it's got some big names attached; Morgan Freeman and Kevin Costner are both on board as executive producers.
"The Gray House" is a historical drama that revolves around a spy network of women who transformed the course of American history. As Amazon bills it, the series "focuses on the true story of unsung women who turned the tide of the Civil War in favor of the North," "transform[ing] their Underground Railroad into an effective and even more dangerous Underground Spy Network, risking life and liberty to help win the war and preserve American democracy." Intrigued? All eight episodes of "The Gray House" came to Prime Video yesterday (Feb. 26), and it could well be the perfect show to stream this weekend.
