Netflix top 10 movies — here’s the 3 worth watching right now (Dec. 6-7)
These trending Netflix movies are actually worth the hype
We're Jingle Bell rockin' our way through December at a steady clip. With so many movies coming and going from the best streaming services, narrowing down what to watch next can become a tall order — especially with Netflix adding a whopping 43 new shows and movies to its catalogue this month.
I've found the best way to cut through the noise quickly is to check out Netflix's top 10 list of most-watched movies. Granted, just because subscribers are buzzing about a movie doesn't necessarily mean it's worth watching. That's why I'm here every weekend to spotlight the gems from the overhyped duds.
This week, that includes one of my favorite movies of the year so far, an indulgent comedy drama starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, and an earworm-filled animated adventure from the team behind the "Spider-Verse" films.
Not feeling any of these flicks? For even more streaming recommendations, be sure to check out our guide to everything new on Netflix this month. So, without further ado, let’s dive into the three must-watch movies in Netflix’s top 10.
This article is based on Netflix's top 10 movies list in the U.S. as of 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Best movies in the Netflix top 10
'Caught Stealing' (2025)
"Caught Stealing" is one of the best action movies I've seen in a long time. It's like "The Hangover" reimagined as a crime thriller starring a schmuck who can't catch a break. This movie's ridiculous in the best way: Bad Bunny plays a gangster too squeamish to get his hands dirty, someone's surgical staples get yanked out to the tune of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," and Matt Smith lets his weird little guy flag fly.
Hank Thompson (Austin Butler), a washed-up former baseball player from the sticks, now spends his days in NYC manning a local dive bar, calling his mom like clockwork, and getting to know his new girlfriend(Zoë Kravitz). But when his British punk neighbor Russ (Smith) asks him for a favor to watch his cat while he's out of town, an ungodly mix-up puts Hank in the crosshairs of some dangerous people.

'Jay Kelly' (2025)
Netflix's latest movie "Jay Kelly" might just land Adam Sandler his first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor this March. He all but steals every scene he's in alongside co-star George Clooney in Noah Baumbach’s self-aware comedy drama, a unashamedly self-indulgent reflection on Hollywood.
Clooney leads as Jay Kelly, an aging screen legend (yes, the winks are intentional) on the brink of a project that could revive his fading career. Instead of following the guidance of his longtime manager (Sandler) he bolts for Europe to reconnect with his estranged daughter, which sets off a winding journey of self-discovery.

'K-Pop Demon Hunters' (2025)
Netflix's biggest streaming hit of all time, "K-Pop Demon Hunters," may have fallen from the #1 spot, but it's still hanging strong in the top 10 even now, months after its release. Even if you're not a huge K-pop fan (truth be told, I'm not either), this bubblegum-pop animated adventure from Sony Pictures Animation, the same team behind the "Spider-Verse" films, offers plenty to enjoy.
It follows Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) — the latest in a long line of K-pop stars who protect the world from supernatural evils with their harmony. Their biggest challenge yet comes when a group of demons disguised as a rival boy band challenges their throne, but they'll need to tackle their own inner demons to slay the day.
