'Slow Horses' season 5 just got a new trailer and I couldn't be more excited for the Apple spy thriller if I tried
Apple just shared a gripping trailer for the spy thriller's fifth chapter.

Apple TV Plus has finally dropped the full trailer for "Slow Horses" season 5, and based on what we've just seen, Apple's gripping spy thriller looks to be must-see TV once again. That's based on the fact that it tees up another deadly conspiracy, teases apocalyptic stakes and mentions the unthinkable: Roddy (Christopher Chung) has a girlfriend.
Worse still, Slough House's irritating tech geek looks to have "something" to do with whatever's going down in England — and The Park is coming down on Jackson Lamb and co., hard. Check out the new footage below:
As you can see, trouble's brewing on the streets of London. As Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) explains in a voiceover — while placing Slough House under lockdown — "sinister forces" are out to bring down the United Kingdom, 11 people have been murdered, and countless more lives could be at risk. How on Earth are Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and the rest of his misfit agents going to crack this case?
My take is simple: this trailer looks like it's laying the groundwork for what could be the most exciting season yet. There's plenty of action, higher-than-ever stakes and the show's trademark sense of humor — count me in.
If you're similarly excited, you'll be pleased to know that the next season's not far away: "Slow Horses" season 5 returns to Apple TV Plus on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
What else do we know about 'Slow Horses' season 5?
Apple has already dropped a brief plot synopsis for "Slow Horses" season 5, which reads: "In season five of "Slow Horses", everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply."
Many of the core "Slow Horses" cast (at least those who've not been KIA) are due to return, as you've seen above. In addition to Christopher Chung, Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott Thomas, you'll also be seeing more from Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke and Jonathan Pryce. Hiba Bennani has boarded the show for season 5.
