This Ukiyoe Edition of the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ is part of the company’s Artisan Collection. It's a stunning collaboration with Japanese lacquerware company OKADAYA that pays tribute to Katsushika Hokusai's world famous "Great Wave off Kanagawa."
While you may think it's a simple paint job on the laptop's lid, it's much more than that. Instead it's crafted with 8 layers of lacquer painting with each layer added on by hand. We're talking authentic traditional handcrafted lacquerware on each of these layers using pure gold leaf powder to make the waves, MSI logo, and artist's signature pop.
In our MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyoe Edition hands-on, we were wowed by the laptop's design. We loved MSI's subtle details like golden text on the ports, the piano gloss finish atop the keyboard, and the fact that there will only be 1,000 of these made (laser engraved with a unique number to let you know which one you got).
