Winter is finally over, which means it’s time for the Amazon Big Spring Sale event. While the deals bonanza doesn’t officially kick off until March 25, Amazon is already slashing prices across the board, including on electronics. To that end, if you’ve had your eye on the new iPad Air M4, you’re in luck, as Apple’s latest tablet has just received a nice discount.

Right now, the 11-inch iPad Air M4 is $559 ($40 off), while the 13-inch iPad Air M4 is $735 ($64 off) at Amazon. Given how they normally cost $599 and $799 (respectively), you're saving a decent amount of cash. While a nominal upgrade over the iPad Air M3, anyone still using an old iPad might want to upgrade—especially if they use their iPad as a MacBook replacement. Here’s why you should consider getting the new iPad Air M4.

Apple 11" iPad Air (WiFi/128GB)
Apple 11" iPad Air (WiFi/128GB): was $599 now $559 at Amazon

The 2026 iPad Air packs Apple's M4 processor, which Apple states is up to 30 percent faster than iPad Air with M3. It also has an 11-inch LED (2360 x 1640) display, 128GB of storage, 12MP rear camera, and 12MP front camera. The tablet now supports Wi-Fi 7 a well as Bluetooth 6 and Thread. In our iPad Air M4 review, we said the upgrades are modest, but the iPad Air remains the best tablet out there.

Apple 13" iPad Air (WiFi/128GB)
Apple 13" iPad Air (WiFi/128GB): was $799 now $735 at Amazon

This larger size iPad Air sports the same M4 processor, but it's coupled with a 13-inch LED (2732 x 2048) display. Otherwise, it packs the same 128GB of storage, 12MP rear camera, and 12MP front camera. You also get Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. The larger display and more potent CPU should make this a great tablet for gaming.

Apple didn’t rock the boat with the iPad Air M4. Aside from a spec bump to the Apple M4 chip and an upgraded wireless chip that allows Wi-Fi 7, you’re getting the same tablet as before. Again, those with the M3 model don’t need to rush out to get this new M4 variant. That said, this is still a fantastic tablet that hits the sweet spot of (relative) affordability and performance.

As before, this is a thin, lightweight tablet that’s easy to carry wherever you go. Measuring 0.24 inches thick and weighing just 1.05 pounds, you’ll barely even notice it in your backpack.

Then there are the still-sharp 12MP cameras, which are great for snapping photos and taking video calls. The 2360 x 1640 resolution on the Liquid Retina display is equally sharp, and in our testing, it nearly reached the advertised 500 nits of brightness, which is excellent. Speaking of testing, the 11-inch iPad Air M4 lasted for 9 hours and 44 minutes, meaning you can use it for a good chunk of the day without a recharge.

I expect this sale will last for most of the week. However, I can’t ensure there will be stock available, so if you’re in the market for a new iPad, you should take advantage of this deal while it lasts. I promise you won’t regret it.
