We’re now officially in October, which means we’re going to start seeing more and more gaming laptop deals. To that end, I’ve just found a fantastic machine that’s on sale for an equally fantastic discount. You don’t want to miss out on this one.
Right now, the MSI Vector 16 HX is on sale for $1,999 at Best Buy. That’s not exactly cheap, but saving $500 off a gaming laptop with specs like these is pretty sweet. I recently spotlighted a different Vector 16 HX deal, but I like this one better because you save more for a notebook with top-of-the-line components. Here’s why you should consider buying this MSI Vector 16 HX.
This is a great price for an RTX 5080 gaming laptop, and the MSI Vector 16 HX AI certainly impresses. It sports an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. It also features a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 240Hz display.
The MSI Vector 16 HX features the latest components to ensure the best PC games run smoothly. Said components include an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, an Nvidia RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. With specs like that, you should be able to run games at the native 1600p resolution and medium to high graphics settings without much trouble. That said, you can always enable the frame-boosting DLSS 4 to get better performance.
You get a 16-inch LCD screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution. Thanks to that, you should be able to see everything in sharp detail. You might want 4K resolution, but given that this is a 16-inch display, 1600p is more than enough. It’s unlikely that you’ll be able to play games at a high enough frame rate to match the 240Hz refresh rate, but having the extra headroom ensures smoother, more fluid moving images.
This laptop offers a decent number of ports, including two USB-A ports, two USB-C/Thunderbolt 5 ports, an Ethernet port, an SD card slot, an HDMI 2.1 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. That’s enough ports to let you connect an external monitor and peripherals in case you want to use the Vector 16 HX as your main PC at home. Connectivity-wise, this laptop supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
As configured, this MSI Vector 16 HX is a phenomenal machine that will meet all your gaming and work needs. This deal might not last long, so I urge you to seriously consider picking up this laptop.
