I review laptops and desktops for a living here at Tom's Guide, which can be a pretty fun gig. I was just getting ready for work this week when I noticed one of the gaming laptops I enjoyed reviewing most in the last year is on sale for nearly $1,000 off, so I figured I ought to give you a heads-up.

For a limited time you can get the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i for $2,549 @ B&H, which is $950 off the usual asking price. That's a pretty sweet deal on this portable PC gaming powerhouse packing a 16" OLED display and an RTX 5080 laptop GPU. I know because I wrote our Lenovo Legion Pro 7i review, and I had a blast doing it.

This Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is a beefy gaming laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. It also sports a 16" 1600p OLED 240Hz display with Dolby Vision and HDR support.

You can read my review to see why I said it was "the most fun I've ever had reviewing a PC," but you don't have to — a quick look at the specs sheet should give you a good idea. The killer combo of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU and the 240Hz OLED display ensure you can play the best Steam games at good to great framerates — especially if you take advantage of Nvidia's DLSS upscaling tech.

That powerful foundation is backed up by 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 2TB of SSD storage, which gives you enough memory and storage for serious multi-tasking and basic audio/video editing.

Plus, you get more than enough ports for all your gaming accessories and professional paraphernalia. I'm talking both USB-A and USB-C jacks as well as HDMI out, a headphone jack and a physical RJ-45 Ethernet port for fast wired Internet connections. There's Wi-Fi 7 support too, if you prefer your Internet wireless—just be prepared for no more than a few hours of battery life, because big beefy gaming laptops like this one tend to chew through power quick.

Now that all the major sales events of the year are in the rearview I have no clue how long this deal will last, so I'd snag one quick if you want one!
