The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones were (until the gen 2 came out) my favorite pair of noise-canceling headphones. There's very little better at blocking out noise, and not much more comfortable. Unfortunately, such performance used to come at a high price.

Not anymore, though. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are currently just $298 at Amazon, thanks to a stunning $130 discount. That's their lowest price ever, and makes them much cheaper than the competition from Sony. Don't delay — Amazon says they're "selling fast," so you might want to be quick on the trigger.

This is the best price I've ever seen on the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. What do you get in return? Epic ANC, super sound, and the most comfortable fit this side of wrapping your head in a snood that plays music. 24 hours of battery life isn't the best, but they make up for it with just about everything else.

Bose is the king of noise canceling, and until the second generation Ultra Headphones came out, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones were the top of the tree. They redefined a headphone's ability to block noise, silencing anything that might come close to disturbing your peace. Or the Backstreet Boys.

My pair never left my side, and they topped our list of the best noise-canceling headphones. There's more to love beyond their excellent noise canceling, of course. The fit, for example, is lightweight and comfortable for hours on end. Once, my music stopped playing, and I forgot I was wearing them. I searched for a good 10 minutes before I remembered they were still on my head.

Whether that says more about me or the headphones is up to you.

The sound is solid, and their "Immersive Sound" feature is one of the best versions of Spatial Audio around. Rather than using a Dolby mix like other headphones (AirPods Max, for example), it takes a normal stereo recording and places parts of it around you for the spatial effect. It works well, although it does sap the battery.

A battery that only lasts for 24 hours — the only real drawback of the headphones. While more battery would be nice, for just under $300, this might just be the best deal I've seen during Black Friday season. Get 'em while they're hot!
