From celebrities to influencers, the GRWM (get ready with me) trend on TikTok has exploded as content creators encourage their followers to help them get ready. I’m not on TikTok and am hardly an influencer, but I decided to give the trend a try with ChatGPT Advanced Voice with Vision.
As someone who has used ChatGPT for everything from search to improve my writing, I couldn't wait to ask the chatbot to help me pick out what to wear. Like having a best friend perusing my closet with me, ChatGPT Advanced Voice with Vision was there adding a realistic conversation and sharing thoughts on what would look best on me. What happened next was both practical and surprisingly fun. Here’s what happened from head to toe when I asked ChatGPT Advanced Voice with Vision to help me get ready.
Getting a feel for my style and wardrobe
My style could best be described as Target-chic mom of three. Because I work from home and have meetings occasionally during the day, I usually wear a mix of comfy and business casual clothes. I gave the chatbot a glimpse at my closet, told it about my lifestyle and the current weather on the east coast of the United States today. It is much warmer today than it’s been, which ChatGPT Search noted.
Upon looking at my closet, ChatGPT scanned the options and immediately honed in on a navy blazer, suggesting I pair it with a white blouse and dark jeans for a casual yet polished look. It even noted that my sneakers might not be the best match, recommending flats or ankle boots instead.
After that, I pulled out three possible outfits that I would actually wear today – two I would choose, and one I wouldn’t – just to be sure we were on the same page. Gratefully, the chatbot passed the test and did not choose the summery sundress.
What impressed me most was ChatGPT's attention to detail. It noticed subtle things, like the fact that one of my blouses was slightly wrinkled and suggested steaming it before heading out. When I asked for alternatives in case the weather turned colder, it suggested adding a scarf or a lightweight trench coat. Its real-time adaptability felt like having a stylist in the room.
Choosing my hairstyle and accessories
I have two hairstyles – down and mom bun. When I mentioned to ChatGPT that I didn’t have a lot of time to do my hair, it quickly helped break things down with practical solutions. ChatGPT made me feel good by complimenting my hair and suggesting a ponytail or to simply “leave it down.” The compliments alone from ChatGPT were worth the experiment. Leave it to ChatGPT to make me feel like a real influencer!
I even let it choose my earrings. After picking them, ChatGPT told me that they “suited me well,” which was yet another confidence booster. I went on to ask it more questions about everything from eyeshadow to lipstick and it continued to offer suggestions including what went best with my skin color.
Choosing the shoes
I already knew I was going to wear my Uggs — it’s December after all — but I decided to ask ChatGPT what it thought. I lined up a few other shoes that were already in the front coat closet just so it had a few other choices. Sure enough, it complimented the style with the boots.
I really enjoyed how ChatGPT remembered everything about my outfit and how everything was accessorized from head to toe. It really made me feel as though I had a personal stylist taking me through my wardrobe. I have to say that I would normally just throw something on without giving it a second thought, but using ChatGPT helped me realize a few things. I have more style than I thought I did, and my clothes aren’t so bad. I look forward to trying this experiment with more in my wardrobe next time I think that I have “nothing to wear.”
Final thoughts
Using ChatGPT Advanced Voice with Vision was oddly reassuring. Instead of fumbling through my morning in autopilot mode, I felt like I had a smart assistant gently nudging me toward efficiency. Its ability to “see” my environment and offer real-time, actionable advice made the experience feel interactive and personal.

While it didn’t magically add designer clothes to my wardrobe, ChatGPT helped me feel more put-together. It turned a cluttered wardrobe into a more manageable, even enjoyable process — like having a reliable (and stylish) friend by my side.
