Verizon Tweets "Excited" About Offering WP7

By - Source: Tom's Guide US

Does Verizon love Windows Phone 7? Or does it secretly lust after iPhone?

In an interview with CNET last month, Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam didn't seem very impressed with Windows Phone 7.

“I can’t really say which phones we’ll offer yet. We like our relationship with Microsoft,” McAdam explained. “But clearly in the U.S. there are three major mobile operating systems: RIM, Google, and Apple.”

McAdam also stated that "Microsoft is not at the forefront of our mind."

In what seems to be a 360 in their position towards Windows Phone 7, Verizon tweeted, "As soon as Microsoft has 'em ready, we're excited to offer Windows 7 mobile devices"

Microsoft's brand new mobile OS isn't available on CDMA carriers so we can't expect WP7 to come to Verizon in the immediate future, but we should be seeing it sometime in 2011.

I think I saw another tweet: "@Verizon OK I will tell you when we are getting WP7 as long as you stop asking about the MOTHER******* IPHONE!"

No, Verizon was on a skateboard while on twitter. They were showing off how easy it was to multitask... the next tweet was done while driving.

A 360 degree turn means you are facing the same direction. Basic school geometry... So the author essentially says they haven't changed their position a bit. That's not what the rest of the article says, however. Should be a 180 degree turn, which means the opposite direction.
