4. MP3 Player
Just record your favorite tunes on the Mega Player 521 and you're all set. All audio tracks are played back in alphabetical order, one folder after another. You can also select in the settings a single playlist for playback. "Playlists" here do not appear in menu format; rather, titles must be selected within the menu itself, where you can select or deselect entire folders and/or certain titles. It is not possible to switch folders during playback; you have to click through track by track.
One convenient feature of the Mega Player 521 is the A-B repeat function. It sets starting and end marks within a track and plays back the bits between them repeatedly. This is useful for activities such as memorizing a lengthy text.
The unit supports bitrates between 16 and 320 kbits/s as well as variable bitrates. The display shows the ID3 tag of the audio file being played back, if there is one, or just the file name if not. Playback of Windows Media Audio (WMA) files is likewise supported.
Radio
The unit lets you set and store up to 16 frequencies, although you can only scan the saved stations in one direction. Thus, switching from station 2 to station 1 requires pressing Play 15 times, a bit of a nuisance.
