11. Sleep Without End

According to the manual, the card can supposedly wake the notebook from standby or hibernation mode to initiate a recording. However, this feature did not work with any of the notebooks we used during testing.

The PC-Card slot supports the usual power saving modes...

..and standby/hibernation support is activated in the application.

We were unable to determine with absolute certainty whether this was an error in the power management of the notebooks or that of the card. According to the Windows device manager, all of the notebooks' PC Card slots had full support for the required sleep and power saving modes.
