It's looking tasty.
The Chocolate was one of the most famous phones for LG. While the device itself wasn't particularly outstanding, it was stylish and helped LG get to where it is today.
Now LG is preparing a second coming of the Chocolate generation with the BL40 "New Chocolate" phone. Current word puts the specs list packed with an ultra-wide 21:9 800 x 345 display, multitouch, AGPS, Wi-Fi, and support for both GSM and CDMA 3G networks.

Nice device! light and simple, I like it
daaaammmmmm. That looks good....they took an iPod nano, made it touch, and made it a phone. I see this being a very successful device
Where the original chocolate was a middle of the range device though, I see this being top dollar unfortunately (5.0 mp camera?!)
not sure if that would fit in my pocket properly or wether it would snap in half as i bend over (often during the day)
wtf is with iPhone clone phones
its because the iphone was copying off of the other slim smart phones first. what other shape do you expect them to be? i wonder if it is as thin like the moto RAZR phones?
dam 21:9 ratio, i think this will be next widescreen xD
Does it support Sprint SERO?
Quite sexy. I wonder who will carry it and how much it will cost.
A little too narrow for me, but otherwise looking good.

I'm suprised noone has acted upon such a glaring invitation for jest.
Indeed, there are a multitude of ways 'bending over' and 'snapping in half' could be interpreted...
I like it. I would trade in my Iphone 3g in for that. I am not married to apple.
I still have the original LG Chocolate. I've only dropped it twice from a short distance and it still works well. I like it because it's simple. Touch screens don't do anything for me. Bring back the original!
The only it could be better is if it had LED instead of lCD. It would also be wicked thin. But that might have also raised the price more

But this is still an awesome phone, i wish i could get one. Hopefully it won't overheat like the IPhone 3GS
Purdy...But its an LG, does it have anything going for it besides looks?
in all fairness, any phone will heat up under certain uses....my BlackBerry Storm gets very warm on the back as well during internet use or long calls (not HOT though just warm)
Very pretty phone. But I can't stand the name Chocolate...
But can it play Crysis?
Quite sexy. I wonder who will carry it and how much it will cost.
Considering the other chocolates where verizon exclusives I'd imagine this one will follow suit

Considering they stated it will also support GPS I'd say the Verizon exclusive isn't in the bag.
GSM*
Damned nice resolution on that.
However, I like Blackberry.
But does it have DTV!?
That's a hot phone. Still got a while before I will upgrade, this could be one on my list.

LED is a back light for LCD monitors using (obviously) LEDs. Usually, they use cold cathode florescent back lights (I think). Either way, both technologies are LCD.
Does this phone have Nvidia's Tegra chip? If so, i'm definitely buying it.
Do people really get excited over a dime a dozen cell phone anymore. For regular non-smartphone mobiles, don't people just talk and text on them and if they have 3G, then maybe Social Networks and listen to music if you care to transfer songs to it. It is nothing revolutionary.
Instead on putting out some BS phone that will be forgotten in a month, why not experiment with an open platform like Android or OpenMoko so people can develop non Java apps for it.
I doubt this has a tegra in it. Unless they plan on developing games for this sepecific platform, they will stick to a generic chipset.
i REALLY doubt that it will be better than the iphone 3gs,,
software-wise
or
hardware-wise
But will it play Crysis?
damm....i have the worst chocolate ever, which is chocolate 3
To Alexisuber,
I have the Chocolate 3 and I love it. I prefer it way over the previous versions, and I like the ease of use and reliability. Great phone IMHO.
However, THIS I will have to get next. Hopefully it's carried by Verizon.
