Large-size LCD Panel Shipments Grow 12% In March
Global large-size LCD panel shipments totaled 37.1 million units in March, up 11.9% sequentially and 38% on year, as clients advanced their orders in anticipation of price hikes, according to WitsView. Growth of display and notebook panel shipments were significantly higher than that for TV panels, as stabilizing prices for PC applications prompted clients to increase their stock ahead of anticipated price hikes in the second quarter, the research firm said.
