390 Million TFT-LCD Panels And 12 Million PDP Panels Made In 2007
In 2007, 390 million TFT-LCD panels and 12 million PDP panels were manufactured, representing an on-year growth of 41.1% and 19.4%, respectively, according to Displaybank. Sales in the TFT-LCD market increased 35.7% on year, reaching $71.7 billion, thanks to increase in panel prices that ensued from supply capacity limitations, noted the research firm.
