PCMark05 Performance Benchmarks: Conclusions
The Sony VAIO VGN-T350's graphics chip does not support the functions required to complete all of the PCMark05 graphics tests, so a graphics score was not computed. Without a graphics score, no overall score could be computed either.
The CPU, memory and hard disk drive test results for the Sony laptop show a computer well suited to use for office applications and web browsing. It comes very close to the Lifebook B6110D and the Portege R200 in CPU performance, but is somewhat slower than both in memory performance. The VGN-T350P has the same 60 GB, 4200 RPM, 15 ms access time Toshiba hard disk drive as the Portege R200. Thus, it is not surprising that its disk performance is closer to that of the R200's, and slower than the performance of the Fujitsu's 4200 RPM, 12 ms access time drive.
3DMark05 Graphics Benchmarks
The Sony VAIO VGN-T350P does not have the graphics capabilities required to complete the FutureMark 3DMark05 tests. The Fujitsu and Toshiba laptops had 3D graphics performance that was so low - 3DMark Scores of 190 and 206 respectively - that we will not report any 3DMark05 results here.
