3. Software

The iAUDIO5 player comes with two software packages; JetAudio and JetShell. JetAudio is a media player that is installed on your main computer. We did not test this software, because most people are probably already using WinAMP or Windows Media Player for playing back their media files.

The JetShell software, which helps transfer music to and from the player, has some interesting features, but is not needed by most users. When you plug the iAUDIO5 player into your computer, Windows automatically detects it as an external drive. You can simply drag files into the MUSIC folder. You can likewise drag out any voice and Line-In recordings from the RECORDS folder.

The JetShell software does easily rip and convert your songs. Bitrate conversions can also be done.
