5. ViewSonic N3200W

More at home in office environments than in living rooms, ViewSonic has also decided to try its hand with LCD TVs. But DELL, (link: COMPARO 26 POUCES) with its W2600, has set the bar very high for computer manufacturers who want to carve out a place on the LCD TV market. How has ViewSonic done?

Design And Finish

ViewSonic has chosen to put together an impressive, high-end product for its entry in the market, boasting a 32" panel, complete connectivity and a memory-card reader. Everything points to the N3200W being a top-of-the-line set. The same goes for the materials chosen - aluminum, glossy black plastic and Plexiglas. The lines of the N3200W are fluid and handsome to look at. ViewSonic has clearly worked hard on the design of this TV set.
Ergonomics

We can't repeat it often enough: A TV is not a computer monitor, and our tests have been adapted to suit. Ergonomics is a point often neglected by manufacturers who've moved from the IT world. In this case, the remote control is of sufficient quality, but that is about all we can say about it. A retractable cover slides back to reveal control buttons for the memory-card reader. Navigation in the OSD is enjoyable, and so is photo browsing. We should mention, though, that it takes the set some time to re-size photos correctly, and if you have a 6-MP camera or better, navigation in the photo album will be slow.
