Gimme A Flip-Front Case Any Time
No matter what kind of smartphone device I use, my favorite cases are those with flip-up front covers. These cover and protect the phone’s display and, if there is one, keyboard. These cases have a familiar snap closure, either a mechanical snap like the ones you find on clothes or a magnetic snap. Flip up the front cover and you’re ready to use whatever functionality your smartphone provides.

This is my old Blackberry Pearl in a case with a snap opening flip-up front cover. I know that certain flip-front cases with magnetic closures have caused problems with some smartphones, but I’ve never experienced these.
You can imagine my joy, after browsing the net for hours, when I found Prima’s flip-front case for the iPhone. Though I could have asked Prima for a review unit, I decided I wanted this one for myself and was more than ready to plunk down $39.95 plus $7.95 in shipping charges to get it.
Little did I realize that I was about to order a case that would challenge the Daily Show as a source of humor in our house for more than a week.
