3. Components

The first thing I do when I get a system is make sure that it is what we requested for review. Each of the systems came equipped with the latest Intel Pentium 4 3.8 GHz processor. They both also had the NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 6800 256 MB graphics card and 1 GB of DDR533.

The only major hardware difference between the units was their hard drive configurations. The Hypersonic system had a single Hitachi Travelstar 7200RPM 60 GB IDE hard drive. On the other hand, the CyberPower system came with a set of two Fujitsu MHT2060BH SATA drives in a RAID 0 configuration.

Even though the systems were supposed to be identical even in terms of hard drives, this is not a problem. The only place you would most likely see any difference is in PCMark and during load times.
