8. Performance At 16 Bits/44.1 KHz

At CD sampling levels, the audio quality is limited by these settings just like any other soundcard.

Frequency response (40 Hz - 15 kHz) : +0.09, -0.22 dB


Signal/Noise Ratio: 94.6 dB(A)
Distortion: 0.007 %
Stereo separation: 93.8 dB

Frequency response: typical of Creative Labs soundcards with slight undulations but essentially the audio range is covered with negligible variations.


Noise level: On the whole noise is very low and close enough to the theoretical ideal. No problems...


Dynamic Range: No concerns over dynamic range, which is what you would expect given the noise level.


Distortion: Distortion is very low and won't cause you any problems.


Intermodulation: Respectable performance. Again, no concerns.


Stereo separation: In effect crosstalk is nonexistent. You can't really ask for more than that...
