7. Test Configuration And Audio Results
We used our normal test configuration but added the services of a DVD recorder and an external hard drive, both connected to the Video Editor via USB 2.0.

We hit a few problems with this new model, which were due to the video components as we subsequently discovered. So, we selected "Mute" for the video's dedicated audio input and everything worked fine! You'll need to do this if you're not using this input to get the best quality...
Audio input noise: comparison of noise levels before and after selecting "Mute" for the video input. You can see that if the input is open, the noise level is definitely higher (white line).


Don't forget to disable the video audio input if you're not using it!
