4. Minimum Configuration

Pentium III 1.3 GHz processor AMD equivalent, 256 M of memory, USB 1.1 port, 600 M available disk space (20 G for video capture), headphones and/or loudspeakers, DVD recorder for DVD production, Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

Inside

If you look at the guts of the Video Editor, you'll notice that it consists of two superimposed PCBs; one for audio (the Audigy 2ZS card), the other for video. In the middle of the video PCB sits the LSI Logic DMN-8102 processor (complete with its two memory chips), which provides the all-important video processing. This circuit includes an IEEE1394 interface for connection to a DV camcorder.
