10. Performance At 24 Bits/96 KHz

Moving up to a 96 kHz sampling rate doesn't change much, as usual - apart from a marked extension in the higher frequencies. As always with this generation of Creative Labs soundcards, you lose DSP but response curve undulations vanish.

Frequency Response(20 Hz - 20 kHz): +0.02, -0.55 dB

Signal/Noise Ratio: 100.9 dB(A)
Distortion: 0.0014 %
Stereo Separation: 97.4 dB

Frequency response: A response which could be considered as practically perfectly flat over the whole audio spectrum. Easily exceeding -1 dB at 30 kHz.

Noise level: Noise is roughly the same as that at 48 kHz, let's say very faint.

Dynamic Range: No problems with dynamic range, which remains excellent.

Distortion: Distortion remains still slight.

Intermodulation: Always excellent!

Stereo separation: Crosstalk rises a bit at high frequencies but it's far from being a bother.
