Survive Disasters with CES 2012 Tech

5. Victorinox 1TB SSD Pocketknife

Nothing says “I’m a survivalist” like a pocketknife. But we’re hard pressed to think of a disaster scenario where you might need a two blades, scissors, a screw driver, a file AND 1 terabyte of SSD data storage (capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB are also available). None the less, that’s what the venerable Victorinox (Swiss Army) brand is offering, among other things, at CES this year. The memory stick itself connects to both USB 3.0 and eSATA ports, and features a 96x48-pixel display that can help you keep track of what is stored on the drive (and how much space has been used). The 1TB version will sell for $3,000 later this year.
