4. Performance

To test quality, we compared the original image from a DVD to S-Video and Composite Video inputs of the Turtle Beach Video Advantage and ATI TV Wonder Elite. The TV Wonder Elite has an excellent reputation for noise filtration. Other hardware remained the same, using the same high-quality cables on the same system. All images are shown at full resolution, cropped (click for un-cropped image).

The original image shows fast motion, a wide gamma range, and fine details

ATI reproduces the image very well using S-Video Input

Turtle Beach S-Video produces similar results with slightly less detail S-Video inputs work well for both cards, but the TV Wonder Elite exhibits slight horizontal squishing, while the Video Advantage suffers slight losses in detail.
