5. Features, Continued

The left side is home to most of the other accessory ports and slots. The RJ-45 (network) and RJ-11 (modem) ports are to the far back on the left side. Moving forward, you will find a USB 2.0 port and then a connection for FM/DTV/CATV. Due to the fact that this is a technology preview and the notebook was a preproduction sample, many of the features were not enabled, and all of the cables were missing except the power cord, so we were not able to thoroughly test everything.

Next are the jacks for audio, line in, microphone in, and headphone out. Located a little closer to the front is an IEEE-1394 (Firewire) port, followed by the toggle switch for turning on and off the internal wireless networking card.

Last on the left side is the Type II PCMCIA slot, the media card reader for SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO cards, and the infrared port.
