Price Wars Hit Samsung's Digital Media Division In Q2
Market sources noted that the main reasons for the less than stellar performance of Samsung Digital Media business in the second quarter was due to a price war the company was involved in for its TV and monitor businesses. In North America, Sony instigated a price war in the LCD TV market in May, forcing Samsung to follow suit.
