HTC Incredible Coming to Verizon on April 29
The HTC Incredible is rumored to be hitting Verizon in just a couple of week's time. Reports say we'll see the phone in Verizon stores on April 25 and in Best Buy branches on April 29.
Engadget yesterday reported that the HTC Incredible was basically a CDMA Desire with an 8-megapixel camera. Incorporating the Sense UI and Android 2.1, the device packs a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display and a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU.
Rumor has it the device is launching on Sunday, April 25. This fits in well with Verizon's tradition of launching devices on a Sunday. However, a leaked document over on Android and Me shows an April 29 release in conjunction with Best Buy.
Verizon isn't commenting on rumors but there's a good chance this is solid information. Who's interested?

I can only bring myself to care about new phones when I'm actually eligible for a new one.

Lmao, so true. I'm in the same boat.
Only problem with these smart phones are the monthly price....$100 plus dollars a month for a data plan, minutes, etc is a bit pricey for some. Especially when you consider those who pay a rent, mortgage, electricity/gas and all those other monthly goodies.

Id wager that most people interested in these are probably already paying that much for their current phones anyway.. The people who cant spend that much are still using their 5 year old Razor phones or their 7 year old candy bar type Nokias..
The Incredible is going to be... well... Incredible! Another stellar Android phone that will be added to Verizon's lineup and leaving it's customers saying "iWhat?"
I wish T-Mobile would do something. Rather than lagging behind and doing a re-release of old technology (myTouch with a physical keyboard aka myTouch Slide). I'm very tempted to cancel my T-mobile contract and head on over to verizon for a much larger and better selection of Android Devices...

You do have the Nexus One available on T-Mobile, which is arguably the best smart phone currently available.
I will believe it when I see it. Rumors have been in the wild about the Incredible (Box 6) since last year.

Well. I'm in the middle of a contract. And I am avaiable for an 'early upgrade' from T-Mobile. This does not qualify for purchasing a Nexus One through Google. You have to be at the complete end of your term and purchase a completely different plan offered. I've looked at getting the Nexus One and HTC Desire but both are not feaseable choices (price and compatibility). I'm open to other options...

At least you dont have Sprint (like me) so cheer up.
Sprint's phone suck harder than hooker on crack withdrawl.

I suppose that is one thing to look up to. I'm still sporting the good ol G1.
I'm sticking to Sprint.
I'd be careful what you call your phones HTC - the Hero couldn't save anybody and I doubt the Incredible will be.

Spring is getting the HTC EVO 4G, which is the Ferrari of smart phones!

But Motorola made the Droids we were looking for.
I'm happy with my Palm Pre Plus, especially since Verizon made the Wireless Hotspot feature FREE. I don't need to tether that often, but now there is no extra charge when I do.

Yep but I heard that they are only doing that to dump Palms inventory, and you probably wont see palm in a verizon store after its depleated. Myself I will Stick with my Blackberry. I do wish I RIM would make an android bb. Blackberries are just so indistructable.
I can already hear the enthusiast crowd: "root! root!"
my bb got wet and after multiple transplant was declared dead...now i got those "candy bar" nokias it was hard at first but now i hardly miss it
i was hoping the Verizon incredible was going to be like HTC EVO 4G/3G
when and if the iphone makes it to verizon, we'll see a decent head-to-head comparison against this HTC phone.
Android is by far the best mobile OS right now, flexible, easy to use, fast. And above all customizable.
I don't mean this in a "in your face way" I only ask out of curiosity. What do you pay per month in the States for, let's say cellnumber, voicemail, sms'es, mobile-data and speaking on your device? 'Cause it sounds overly expensive?
I pay around 80$ a month for: 5 hours talktime, free sms-messaging and 20Gb downloads. The mobile internet peaks at around 7½ Mbit. From Denmark btw.

What? Did you really check? U got N1 and HD2 (Best of the Android and WM) and still complaint? AT&T is the only one left behind for non-Apple user with no Andriod and damn old TouchPro 2

---- For 450min (7 and a half hours) talktime, unlimited messaging, voicemail, and unlimited data I spend 90 plus tax. Our connection speeds arent as high as i can pull about 2.5 Mbit. Cant wait for LTE

I pay $109 a month for a family plan through Sprint, with everything unlimited. We have 2 phones and will be adding another soon for my son for an extra $9.99 a month.
$80 seems to expensive for what you're getting, but then again, I'm not sure how the current exchange is between your currency and ours, unless you were estimating the $80 in american dollars.

Not true. I pay less than $90/month for my Motorola Droid plan. I pay $59.99 for 450 anytime minutes + unlimited texting and $29.99 for unlimited web/internet. = $89.98.
