Here is my recent experiences where I lived in range of Comcast.

Adelphia territory purchased by Comcast = Rates Increased
Insight territory purchased by Comcast = Rates Increased

Both times, the 'official' press releases said "Good news for customers, more options & the price to stay the same"... LIES!!!

Interestingly, I was without cable internet for 3 weeks, Comcast told me "your modem is bad..." my response, "all of my neighbors modems must be bad too as they are also with out service", there response "yep..." - Golden!

When Comcast took over Adelphia in my area, my combined internet/cable bill went up less than $5 and my connect speed went from 6mb to 8mb. I thought that was a fair trade.

Comcast is the worst company, they don't need to expand, they sue every fucking company or buy them out if they don't get all the profits.I will never buy Comcast, unless it's the only choice and it's free,if I have to pay loads for it,forget it,it's not worth it.
