I ran 80 miles in the Asics Superblast 2 and it’s the best running shoe deal in the Amazon Big Spring Sale

The Amazon Big Spring Sale is almost over so if you’ve been deliberating about whether to take advantage of the deals available, now’s the time to make your call.

If it's running shoe deals you’ve been looking at, there’s one that stands out to me above all, which is the $50 saving on the Asics Superblast 2 at Amazon.

I ran 80 miles when testing the Superblast 2 and have two pairs I still use, and it’s one of the most comfortable and versatile daily trainers available.

Asics Superblast 2: was $200 now $149 at Amazon

The arrival of the Asics Superblast 3 means that the previous version of the shoe is going for a song in the Amazon Big Spring Sale, having been reduced to $149 in a wide range of colors and sizes. The Superblast 2 is a high-stack super-trainer that offers a rare combo of comfort and speed, and is a great addition to any runner’s wardrobe.

The original Asics Superblast was a ground-breaking shoe that launched the current max-stack super-trainer trend. These are highly-cushioned but lightweight shoes that are great for all kinds of runs, from fast interval sessions to slow long runs.

I used the Asics Superblast 2 as my holiday shoe several times because of its versatility, and the fact I find it comfortable for walking around in as well as running.

The new Asics Superblast 3 has an updated midsole that makes it a little softer than the Superblast 2, but in terms of performance, the Superblast 2 matches the latest model and for $50 less, it’s the shoe I’d get out of the two.

Reductions on the Superblast line of shoes are rare and once the remaining stock of the Superblast 2 sells out I suspect it will be a while before the Superblast 3 is subject to sales, so this is a deal worth grabbing if you need new running shoes right now.
