I ran 50 happy miles in the New Balance 1080v14 and it’s reduced to under $100 ahead of the Amazon Big Spring Sale

Amazon sales are always a great time to be on the lookout for deals on top running shoes, but you don’t have to wait for the Amazon Big Spring Sale to start to get a great discount this week.

The New Balance 1080v14 is currently available for $99 at Amazon in one color, with various other discounts available on the shoe if you want a different color.

I ran 50 miles in the 1080v14 when testing it out and found it to be a comfortable and fun daily trainer that’s great for runners of all levels, so if you need a new shoe to rack up the miles in, this deal is worth jumping on.

I found this sizeable saving on the New Balance 1080v14 on the white color of the men’s shoes, but there are discounts available on the women’s 1080v14 too, and if you prefer a different color there are still savings to be made, even if they’re not quite as good a deal. It’s worth clicking through the various colors in your size to see exactly what deals are available, because the price isn’t fixed.

The New Balance 1080v15 launched earlier this year and is a big update on the 1080v14, with a new midsole foam and a lighter design.

However, I’ve tested both shoes extensively and while I do slightly prefer the 1080v15, it’s close, and the New Balance 1080v14 works well for the same kind of runs. There’s no doubt I’d rather have the 1080v14 for $99 compared with splashing out $170 on the newer shoe.

The Fresh Foam X foam in the midsole of the 1080v14 is still comfortable and bouncy, and retains its energetic feel even on long runs in my experience.

With the 1080v15 now available I expect to see lots of deals on the 1080v14 in the coming months, but this saving will be hard to beat, so it’s worth scouring the Amazon listing to see how much of a discount you can get on a size and color of the shoe that you like.
