I have vowed to hit my step goals every single day in 2026, and so far, so good. But I work a sedentary job, meaning that most of my day is spent at my desk typing away, making it a little tricky to get super active.
Luckily, I have one of the best walking pads to keep me motivated when the afternoon slump hits — the WalkingPad Z1. It's the best way I've found to keep my body moving... without actually moving.
The WalkingPad Z1 is currently available for $278 at Amazon U.S. in the limited-time Presidents' Day sales. For more deals, check out our guide to the best Presidents' Day sales.
The WalkingPad Z1 under-desk foldable treadmill is a total game changer, and at 20% off it's a total no-brainer home-office addition. It only weighs 23kg, and folds away to 31.5 x 5.2 inches to be easily stowed under your bed or couch. Not only is it an affordable option in the coveted WalkingPad range, but it's actually the one I use everyday. It's perfect for anyone looking to get a few extra steps in while working from home and comes with a companion app to help track fitness metrics during your workout.
Easy setup
What makes using the WalkingPad Z1 so simple is how easy it is to set up. It's pretty much ready to go out of the box — you just need to plug in the power cord. It folds out to give enough room for your strides, but it still easily fits in small spaces since it only measures 56.1 inches long when in use.
But it's also super easy to store when not in use as it folds away to just 31.8 inches in length and has wheels, making it easy to move. When I'm not using it, I prop it against the wall at the side of the room, but it's also slim enough to be stored under the sofa.
Customization on the move
The WalkingPad comes with a remote control so I can make alterations to my speed without too much fuss. But you can also use the companion app to make fine-tuned adjustments or set up walking goals.
It makes the experience interactive, and you can even see what your friends are doing on their WalkingPads. This makes for a totally great motivator.
