I just test rode the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of electric scooters — and I’ve never had so much fun
The Navee UT5 Ultra X is inspired by supercars
I just test rode the new Navee UT5 Ultra X electric scooter at CES 2026, and it’s the most fun I’ve had at the show so far. With a design that’s inspired by the Rolls-Royce Phantom supercar and a top speed of 43 mph, the UT5 Ultra X is a seriously high-tech scooter with a fun disposition.
Despite a few near crashes early on — the test track was mighty small with sharp turns — I got a hang of the UT5 Ultra X in less than five minutes. While pricing details have yet to be released, I have a sneaking suspicion that the Navee UT5 Ultra X will be a lot less pricey than even the cheapest Rolls.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Navee UT5 Ultra X electric scooter.
Navee UT5 Ultra X: 43mph max speed + 87 mile range
I sadly was unable to speed test the new Navee UT5 Ultra X at its fastest, but I did ride it at a comfortable seven to ten mph on the small tradeshow floor track.
To start the electric motors, you first have to push the scooter to a speed of 3 mph... then the fun begins. The throttle is located on the right handlebar and is easy to access. A center display console provides your current speed and other crucial details about the scooter, like whether the lights are on.
Navee UT5 Ultra X: Front and rear motors
The Navee UT5 Ultra X sports not one but two onboard motors with a maximum output of 240W each. With all that power, the scooter can accelerate darn quickly: 0-12 mph in under two seconds.
It also has enough gusto to make it up grades as steep as 46 degrees. Having tested an electric bike on Seattle's steepest hill (with mixed results), I'm really looking forward to putting the Navee UT5 Ultra X through the same challenge. Fortunately, Seattle's steepest has a grade of 26 degrees.

Navee UT5 Ultra X: Hydraulic suspension + disc brakes
The suspension system on the Navee UT5 Ultra X is no joke. Front and rear hydraulics provide a cushioned ride, whether you're traversing pavement or gravel. The UT5 Ultra X even has onboard traction control for those rain-slicked streets and an 'intelligent driving' feature that automatically adjusts the suspension based on riding conditions.
All this should add up to one extremely comfortable ride. Speaking of rain, the Navee UT5 Ultra X also features front and rear disc brakes for maximum stopping power.
Navee UT5 Ultra X: Built-in blinkers and lights
As you might expect from such a swanky-looking electric scooter, onboard front and rear lights come standard. The Navee UT5 Ultra X even has onboard blinker lights tucked into the handlebars. A set of buttons to the left of the center screen activates them (and the lights).
Navee UT5 Ultra X: Foldable design
With such powerful motors, the Navee UT5 Ultra X is a fairly heavy electric scooter (I don't have a weight figure at the moment). Fortunately, it's incredibly painless to collapse down for easy storage. A lock on the front stem allows the handlebars to fold down flat against the riding platform and even locks into place.
Ultimately, while my time with the Navee UT5 Ultra X has so far been brief, I'm incredibly excited to get back on one for thorough testing and a full review. Navee says that units should become available in the coming months. So stay tuned.
