Earlier this year in March, an interesting service called GameCrush launched. GameCrush offers a service whereby gamers 18 and older can pay real money for a gaming session with a girl, with options for 'flirty' or 'dirty' chat.
Today the service is now out of beta, which means that business is open to everyone, not just those who have a beta invite.
Six-minute sessions involve real face-to-face time over webcam with the girl over a casual game of checkers, pool or Battleship. Those looking for more hardcore action can game time over Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
GameCrush has created four zones to help define the type of interaction between Players and PlayDates (the girls). These zones include:
* The Arcade - Fun is the name of the game. Nice and chill.
* The Arena - For serious gamers. Butt-kickings handed out left and right.
*The Academy - Learn tips and tricks from experienced PlayDates.
* The Edge - Not for the faint of heart. This could get interesting.
“Since our initial launch earlier this year, we’ve seen continued and strong demand for a service that gives gamers the ability to meet, interact and play games with new people,” said Annes Iqbal, co-founder and CEO of GameCrush. “To meet this demand, it was important that we focus on the build-out of our community while improving our ability to scale to meet user demand and adding support for nearly any multiplayer game or console. All of these features are now part of GameCrush.”
PlayDates can earn $20 or more per hour while playing in a video and text chat-enabled one-on-one game session. Like any respectable service, the girls who provide the gaming companionship get to take home 60 percent of the cash they bring in.
Note: men can be PlayDates too, but we imagine the market for them is a little less lucrative.
