German Politicians Hold a LAN Party in Parliament

German politicians have been gaming in the Reichstag. In an effort to neutralize ill-will towards all kinds of video games, members of the German parliament decided to get some hands on time with the violent video games the country seems to have such a big problem with.

According to N24, about 50 members of parliament met on Wednesday evening in Berlin for a LAN party that included games like Counter Strike and some non-violent “sports simulations.”  Even former Federal Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries gave the racing and tennis games a shot. Organized by three politicians, the party is supposed to promote an objective, unbiased debate on an issue that affects the children and young people that are growing up with video games as a part of their daily lives.
