This year has been stacked with some incredible OLED TVs, but the LG C-series always remains one of the best values you can buy. Whether you're a gamer looking to amplify your home entertainment setup, or in need of an upgrade for the upcoming NFL season, it's the series I always recommend for the price-to-performance ratio.
Right now, you can get the 65-inch LG C5 OLED TV for $1,796 on Amazon. That's $900 slashed on one of our favorite TVs and one of the best OLED TV deals right now. It might not be the lowest price you can get just yet, but the whole range is discounted, allowing you to scoop up a 42-inch model on sale for $1,196.
The LG C5 OLED has arrived. It's one of our favorite value TVs and a brilliant OLED for those looking to save a little on the more advanced screen. With the C5, you get tons of gaming features, including a 144Hz refresh rate built on four total HDMI 2.1 ports. LG's webOS platform also has a slew of free channels to dive into as well as cloud gaming platforms.
42" for $1,196
48" for $1,296
55" for $1,396
77" for $2,496
83" for $4,496
Despite being one of the cheapest OLEDs you can buy right now, the C5 is still an absolute unit for all things sports and entertainment. The best part is the slew of awesome features available, like its 144Hz refresh rate and four HDMI 2.1 ports, making this a gamer's dream come true.
The C5 is also a powerhouse when it comes to upscaling. I got to see this in action earlier this year, witnessing how it made a 720p baseball game look like it was 4K without hitches. That's an ideal get if you're planning on watching a lot of broadcast TV and sports, making content even in lower resolutions look crisp.
While it might wrangle a whole host of features, the one thing the C5 doesn't have is HDR10+. This is ideal if you're prone to watching content on Prime Video and other sources, but most HDR content is mastered in Dolby Vision, which the C5 OLED does support.
Another minor setback is its middling audio. This is a common trait on most TVs, especially cheaper OLEDs, but you can always improve the audio on your new LG C5 with one of the best soundbars. I personally recommend the Sonos Arc Ultra, though LG itself has some of its own soundbar and speaker array options, as well.
I'm a big fan of the LG C5 OLED. It's not quite as cheap as the C4, but brings some serious upgrades where it counts. I'd recommend getting a smaller size and using that in place of your PC monitor. It's a brilliant upgrade for video editing, color grading, and gaming.
