Verizon's holiday sale is still going strong and if you're looking for cell phone deals this could be your last chance to score major savings on some of the best phones we've tested this year.

For example, right now you can get an Apple iPhone 17 or Google Pixel 10 for free with select unlimited data plans at Verizon. Get the iPhone 17 for free (up to $999 off) at Verizon with select qualifying unlimited data plans. The base iPhone 17 includes a multitude of upgrades like a larger and brighter 6.3-inch OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. You also get an A19 processor, upgraded 256GB of storage, 48MP main camera, and a new 48MP ultrawide camera. There's also a new Center Stage 18MP front camera. Finally, battery life is improved and there's now 25W Qi 2.2 charging support. In our iPhone 17 review, we said it offers one of the best bang-for-the-buck deals in recent memory.

Pixel 10: free w/ unlimited @ Verizon
Verizon is offering the Pixel 10 for free with a qualifying data plan. The Pixel 10 features a 6.3-inch Actua Display OLED (2424 x 1080) 120Hz display, Tensor G5 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Rear cameras include a 48MP (f/1.7) main, 13MP (f/2.2) ultrawide, and 10.8MP (f/3.1) telephoto. On the front there's a 10.5MP (f/2.2) lens. In our Pixel 10 review we called it a massive upgrade over the Pixel 9 gaining a telephoto camera, larger battery, and access to nearly the same set of AI features on the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL.

The Editor's Choice iPhone 17 needs no introduction. In our iPhone 17 review we said it's the iPhone most users should get. For starters, it received the most upgrades. The base iPhone now comes with a larger, 120Hz display, faster 30W wired charging speeds, brighter screen, double the storage, and a slick selfie camera. Even better, it's the same price as its predecessor. (By comparison, the base iPhone 17 Pro costs $100 more than the base iPhone 16 Pro).

Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 is a best phone contender because of how it sets the benchmark for all base flagship models. For example, its triple camera system complete with a dedicated 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom is unmatched. In fact, the similarly priced Galaxy S25 has a 3x optical zoom camera — while the iPhone 17 doesn’t have one at all.
