With warmer weather finally here, I can’t wait to get outside and enjoy park picnics and other outdoor adventures. But while I have my go-to outdoor essentials — you always need a good cooler — I always find myself struggling with the burden of hauling around a table. This is especially the case for all-day events or park festivals that involve a lot of walking.
That’s why I was excited to learn about IKEA’s newest wood table — it's foldable, lightweight and perfect for outdoor trips! In fact, the IKEA SOLUPPGÅNG Folding table for $60 is so versatile that it can be used pretty much anywhere in the home, backyard or park.
What’s even better is its affordable price and that it has arrived just in time for hosting gatherings. Here’s why I’ll be picking one up this season.

The SOLUPPGÅNG wooden folding table is part of IKEA’s new range designed for outdoor adventures, and there’s plenty to like about it. Measuring in at 16 inches high and 32 inches long, its dimensions are adequate for hosting a small gathering for outdoor picnics or a camping trip.
I particularly love the fact that it's easy to fold completely flat and lightweight, making it simple to carry under your arm when you need to set it up. In addition, its practical design also makes it easy to store in your home, as it won’t take up much space.
Perhaps what’s more appealing is that this table can be used anywhere in the home, and this would be especially ideal for tiny outdoor spaces like balconies or patios. In fact, it would make a handy side table for drinks when you’re hosting guests, or even a games table. Design-wise, it’s attractive, combining neutral eucalyptus wood with a durable steel leg frame. Plus, it’s easy to clean and maintain with just a simple, damp cloth.
Given its quality, I would have expected this foldable table to cost more than its $60 price tag, making this my must-have purchase for my summer.
