I threw out my Nutribullet blender after testing this Beast personal blender — here's why

I don’t always have time for breakfast in the morning. In truth, I value my sleep more than a bowl of granola, so those extra few minutes in bed are essential for me. But I know that this isn’t the best thing for my body or mind.

Getting a good breakfast in the morning sets you up for the day, so I’ve turned to smoothies, which are a great way to get in your 5-a-day and even add in any supplements you need. And since I like to save time in my morning routine, I’ve been on the lookout for the best blender out there, and I think I’ve found it.

The Beast Mighty 850 Plus blender is now a permanent fixture on my kitchen counter, and I use it for everything. Beast describes the blender as “the kitchen Swiss-Army Knife”, and that couldn’t be truer. Whether I’m making a quick dip, a pasta sauce, or my morning smoothie, it's super fast and leaves me with absolutely no lumps.

The sleek design of the Beast Mighty 850 Plus blender looks good on the countertop, and its powerful performance from the 850-watt motor delivers smooth, chunk-free blends every single time. It comes with multiple blend cup sizes, making it perfect for a variety of tasks, and even has lids and straps to turn these cups into on-the-go flasks.

Powerful blends

This 850-watt blender surprised me. For years, the Nutribullet 900 Pro has been a staple in my kitchen. But after testing the Beast Might 850 Plus blender, my Nutribullet has taken an indefinite leave of absence.

My ultimate test with blenders is whether they can tackle dates in a smoothie. Dates are notoriously tough for blenders as they are fibrous and sticky, so they can get stuck to the blades and slow them down. I always thought my Nutribullet was doing a pretty good job, even though I would still be left with huge chunks of dates after blending. But then I used the Beast.

The 850 Plus blender was able to blend the dates up super small, so they could even fit through the straw that is included with the blender. While they weren’t completely liquefied, they were blended smaller than I have ever had them before, making drinking them a whole lot easier.

On-the-go breakfast

Like I said, having an easy and fast solution for breakfast is my main goal. And there are times that I have rushed out the door to my car with a smoothie in a glass because I just didn’t have time to drink it before leaving.

But the Beast Mighty 850 Pls blender has completely taken that issue away. There's a drinking lid and straws included with the blender, and this has become my favorite feature. Once I have blended my smoothie (which takes less than a minute), I can pop on the drinking lid, put the straw in, and head out the door. Easy as that.

It removes the possibility of any spills when I am rushing around. The lid is also leak-proof, so when you’re finished, you can just chuck the whole thing in your bag and not worry about any spills.

Meal prep and storage

The blender also comes with lids that attach to any of the three different sizes of the blending cup. This means that if I make too much of a smoothie, or even make extra dip or sauce, I can just put a lid on it and put it in the fridge for the next day.

It's removed the need for extra containers and extra washing up. And, since there are three blend cups included, you can still use the blender even if you have some cups already full.

This is useful when I am making soups. I use the larger blend cup for this and always end up making too much. But with the leftovers I can simply put a lit on the cup, wait for it to cool, and put it in the fridge for the next day.
