Of all the biggest and best streaming services, Netflix is perhaps the most committed to dropping “original” content. Essentially, these are movies and TV shows that you can’t watch anywhere else but on Netflix, and over the next week, the platform has plenty of exclusive new arrivals in the pipeline.

Over the next several days, Netflix is offering a strong variety, whether you’re looking for your latest reality TV fix or an intense-looking thriller that sees the residents of a small town fend off the ocean’s apex predator. Or maybe you want a deeper insight into one of the biggest musical artists of the current era, Noah Kahan. Netflix subscribers have plenty to choose from this week.

I’ve combed through Netflix’s April 2026 slate and picked out the three biggest Netflix exclusive movies and TV shows that you need to have on your streaming radar this week.

The latest season of Netflix’s juggernaut “Love is Blind” reality dating show wrapped up last month, but if you’re craving more glossy guilty pleasure streaming, why not book a trip to “Temptation Island”? The series promises to put “relationships to the ultimate test,” but really, it’s just another vehicle for reality TV drama and carefully edited moments that will probably dominate your social media feed for the rest of the month. “Temptation Island” season 2 is dropping in full on April 10, so you won’t have to wait between installments.

The premise of this reality show is pretty simple, if rather controversial: four (supposedly committed) couples are whisked away to a picturesque tropical setting, and then separated from one another for two weeks. During this time, each member of the couple lives among a group of attractive singletons, who will seek to tempt them away from their partner. After the two weeks, they must decide to commit to their previous coupling or split up for good.

‘Thrash’

Phoebe Dynevor is no stranger to Netflix subscribers, having starred in the first two seasons of the period drama “Bridgerton” and the erotic thriller “Fair Play.” The actress's latest project with the big red streamer is “Thrash,” a survival thriller in which she plays Lisa Fields, a pregnant woman battling a lot more than morning sickness. In this case, Lisa is fending off hungry sharks.

After the success of 2024’s “Under Paris,” Netflix is returning to the enduringly popular shark thriller formula with another original movie centered on a cast of humans attempting to survive the ocean’s most feared predators. Set in a small coastal town, when a Category 5 hurricane hits, the once peaceful setting is battered by rising water, powerful winds and an infestation of lethal sharks. “Thrash” also stars Whitney Peak and Djimon Hounsou.

‘Noah Kahan: Out of Body’

Noah Kahan has been around the block for a while, releasing his debut album in 2019. However, it was his 2022 LP, “Stick Season,” that saw the Vermont-born singer-songwriter really explode into the mainstream and become one of the decade's biggest musical acts. With his new album on the horizon (the first single from the upcoming record has become a Spotify playlist staple in my household), he’s teamed up with Netflix for a new documentary.

“Noah Kahan: Out of Body” sees the singer return to his Vermont roots and reconnect with family as he grapples with the pressures of global fame and tries to figure out what comes next after cracking the mainstream. The doc promises candid insights into Kahan’s musical journey and plenty of touching behind-the-scenes moments that include his inner circle. “Out of Body” will make for essential streaming this week for Kahan fans and might just earn him some new ones, too.
