I just discovered YouTube's version of Spotify Wrapped — here's how to find yours

1. Check the You tab in the YouTube app

Open the YouTube app on your phone and tap the "You" tab at the bottom of the screen. Just below your profile details, you should see a banner button that says "Your Recap is here." Tap that banner to launch your personalized Recap.

This feature is rolling out across the globe right now, so if you don't see it yet, check back over the weekend.

2. What does YouTube Recap show you?

You'll get up to 12 different cards highlighting your top channels, interests, and how your viewing habits evolved over the year. YouTube also assigns you one of at least 11 personality types based on what you watched.

For example, if you watched a lot of skill-building content like tutorials and how-tos, you might be labeled a "Skill Builder." If you gravitated toward positive, uplifting videos, you're probably a "Sunshiner." The most common personalities are Sunshiner, Wonder Seeker, and Connector, while Philosopher and Dreamer are the rarest.

3. Make sure you're eligible

Not everyone gets a YouTube Recap. You need to meet certain requirements for it to generate. Children under 13 (or below the age requirement in your country) aren't eligible, and neither are supervised accounts.

Also, if you had your watch history paused at any point during 2025 or if you enabled auto-delete settings for your viewing history, those videos won't count toward your Recap.

This means if you've been privacy-conscious and regularly clear your watch history, you might not have enough data for YouTube to create a full Recap. If this applies to you and you want to see your Recap next year, make sure your watch history is turned on.
