FAQs

Do Emma mattresses come with a free trial period?

Yes, all Emma mattresses sold in Australia come with a 150-night trail that you can enjoy at home. You pay upfront for the mattress, but you can arrange for a full refund within that 150-night trial if you are unhappy with the product. Keep in mind, though, that it can take at least 21 nights to get used to a new mattress or 'break it in', so make the most of the generous 150-night trial before you make a decision.

Do other Emma Sleep products also have a free trial period?

Yes, all of the other Emma products – beds, pillows, toppers and bedding come with the same 150-night trial period as the mattresses, although the warranty periods may vary.

What is the warranty on the Emma mattresses?

All Emma Sleep mattresses have a 10-year warranty, valid from the date of delivery. The warranty covers dimensional stability and durability of the mattress, but you will be required to take photos to lodge your claim with the Emma Sleep customer service team.

For example, you're covered for sags and indentation greater than 2.5cm, provided you have followed the maintenance instructions the company suggests. The warranty also covers cracks or tears in the foam and not inflating to the correct size. These, though, need to be reported within months. You can read the full terms and conditions of the Emma Sleep mattress warranty here.

Other Emma products have different warranties. For example, the beds come with a 5-year warranty period, while the mattress toppers have a 10-year warranty. The pillows and bedding items, however, do not come with any warranty.

How do I contact Emma Sleep?

Each page on the Emma Sleep website has a footer with various ways listed to contact customer support. You can call +61 483 983 293 on weekdays between 9am and 6pm Australian Eastern time, or email support@emma-mattress.com.au.

Does Emma Sleep offer free shipping in Australia?

As long as you live in a metro area, Emma Sleep will indeed deliver any of its products free of charge right to your door. Regional addresses, however, incur a shipping cost of AU$79.

Are returns to Emma Sleep free?

As with the deliveries, returning an Emma Sleep product is free of charge within the trial period if you live in a metro area. If you live in regional Australia, you can get in touch with the Emma Sleep customer service team to ask about returns.

Will Emma Sleep set up my new mattress?

Emma Sleep doesn't offer a white-glove service in Australia. Your mattress will be delivered to your door, and it's up to you to unpack and set it up.

Will Emma Sleep take away my old mattress?

With no white-glove service available in Australia, you will need to dispose off your old mattress yourself. However, Emma Sleep will organise the pickup of its own mattress if you are returning it without the trial period.

How do I return my Emma Sleep product?

Returning your Emma mattress is easy. You can either fill in the form available on the Return Your Order portal, call customer service or email them. These need to be done within the 150-night trial period to qualify as a free turn, and Emma stipulates that products shouldn't be damaged when returned. You are then eligible for a refund, which is processed as soon as the Emma Sleep warehouse confirms it has received the mattress.

If you have used one of our discount codes, please check with the Emma Sleep team about the refund you can expect.

How long will it take for my Emma Sleep delivery to arrive?

If you live in a metro area and place your order before 10am Eastern time, you can get same-day delivery, provided there is a warehouse within the delivery area. There is, however, the option of next-day delivery, which will see you receive your goods within 48 hours of placing the order at no extra cost. If you don't opt for either of these options, Emma mattresses arrive within 1-7 business days of placing the order.

Hints and tips to save more

Shop during sales: Emma Sleep regularly has discounts on its website where specific products are available at steep markdowns. You can keep an eye on the Emma Sleep sale page for these. There's usually up to 55% off select items through the year, but if the mattress you're after isn't discounted then, you could wait for the Black Friday mattress sales to see if you can save more and pick up the specific product you're after.

Check clearance products: The Emma Sleep website is a specific clearance sale page that lists products that will soon be discontinued to make way for newer models. These can be as cheap as half price or even less, and the products are still good and brand new.

Register for the Emma Sleep newsletter: Not only will the Emma Sleep newsletter keep you abreast of the latest products and offers, first-time customers will also get 5% off their first purchase. You can sign up for the newsletter via a link at the bottom of the Emma Sleep homepage or the popup that opens when you first visit the site.

Take advantage of bundle deals: Bundling your mattress purchase with a new bed or pillows is a great way to save extra cash. Emma Sleep is known to have a great selection of bundle deals with discounted pillows, comforters or bedding being included in the price or even completely free with your mattress purchase. When shopping with a bed, though, check with the customer service team on what the refund policy is if you need to return only of the two items you've purchased.

How we source coupon codes

The coupons you’ll find on Tom’s Guide have been sourced by our dedicated coupons team, who use the web, our relationships with retailers and our affiliate networks to find the latest codes. The offers on each coupon page are updated every few days to ensure we feature the freshest ways to save, and our commercial team (based in Sydney) also sources exclusive codes and sales info directly from some of the biggest retailers in Australia.

How we test coupon codes

All the coupon codes we list on our pages have been tested by our coupons team to check they work as intended before they’ve been uploaded. You’ll find a wide range of coupons on Tom’s Guide, including free shipping offers, student discounts, and savings on various kinds of products.

Unless otherwise noted, to ensure that all listed discount codes are available to use, we don’t include any one-time use or user-specific coupons. We also provide as much information as we can to keep things as clear as possible — any expiry dates or terms and conditions will be listed alongside the code. Look for the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text — you’ll be able to click this to expand this section for more details.

What to do if a discount code doesn’t work

We take care to only list tried and tested discount codes on our pages, so all coupons should be active and confer the listed discount or deal. However, although we keep up to date with expiry dates and any terms and conditions, sometimes retailers change these before we can update our pages.

Should a code fail to work as expected, check you meet any listed requirements. These can include minimum spends, multibuy offers, or product-specific promotions (such as "10% off selected tablets"). You can view all associated requirements by clicking “View terms and conditions” below your code.

If this does not solve your issue, you can contact our customer service team by emailing ecommau@futurenet.com. Make sure to let us know which coupon you were trying to use and which page this was listed on, and we’ll be in touch to help as soon as possible.

How we make money

Tom’s Guide makes money from discount codes through a commission-based model. We have agreements in place with each retailer on our site – for every purchase made using one of our coupons or deals, we earn a small percentage of the order total back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can save our readers money without charging you a thing. You won’t pay a cent to get the discounts listed on our pages, so whichever code or deal you choose, you’ll get exactly what it says on the tin.

About Emma Sleep

Founded in Germany in 2015, Emma Sleep quickly expanded globally to become one of the most popular mattress-in-a-box brands in the world. It currently has a presence in over 30 countries, including Australia, where it arrived with the Emma Original Mattress in 2019. Since then, the company has regularly offered some of the best mattresses you can get Down Under. Much of that popularity is down to its affordable pricing, particularly in the Comfort range, although there are premium options in the Luxe series. Between them, there's a mattress for any kind of sleeper – whether you lie on your back, side or stomach. While Emma Sleep specialises in making hybrid mattresses in the Australian market, it also has a range of other related products in its catalogue, including bed bases and frames, pillows, mattress protectors and sheets. It even released the Emma Sofa Bed that we tried and loved, although that's no longer available locally. In Australia, all Emma mattresses come with a 150-night trial and a 10-year warranty, with free metro delivery.
