Apple teases the M5 MacBook Pro: 'Something powerful is coming'

Apple's marketing chief Greg Joswiak dropped a teaser video promising "something powerful is coming" on the social media platform X today.
Mmmmm… something powerful is coming. pic.twitter.com/hHDYwuisJCOctober 14, 2025
The teaser shows a short animation revealing a glimpse of what looks to be a MacBook Pro along with the words "coming soon." The laptop is shaped like a V, likely referencing the Roman numeral for five.
Joswiak also said "Mmmmm" in his caption with five Ms. He doesn't say how close "soon" will be.
Rumors have suggested that Apple is planning to introduce its 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 chip later this week. Beyond the new chipset, the new MacBook Pro isn't expected to feature any other design changes. The higher-end M5 Pro and M5 Max versions aren't supposed to launch until 2026.
Additionally, Apple could also debut a new iPad Pro and a refreshed Vision Pro headset also with an M5 chip. It's even more of a long shot, but we could also potentially see an updated Apple TV streaming device and a new HomePod Mini.
