What we thought would be the greatest disadvantage of the device, turned out to be its biggest advantage. We liked that the GPS was integrated in a small form factor that let us carry a sophisticated navigation system with us all the time.
We were also impressed by the stylish phone itself - currently listed for $70 on Sprint's website - as well as the appropriate pricing of the service. Now if Sprint could be convinced to drop its PCS vision entry fee, the decision for the TeleNav software would be a no brainer.
The TeleNav GPS Navigator is not the best system for a family taking a cross-country auto trip because of all the fiddling with the tiny device required to stay on track. Also, due to its small screen size and limited audio volume this or any other cellphone-based navigation system might not be the best answer for the elderly looking for a GPS. But if you depend on quickly finding your way in unfamiliar urban areas, perhaps multiple times a day, then such this ultra-portable navigation system from Sanyo and TelNav may be just what you are looking for.
